yes i perfectly agree with the surgeon, but what i meant is that in prelive you have less ups and downs cause you can cut losses.
i often traded under 4.5 in football, but when the market goes suspended and 2 goals in 1 minute are scored, i feel like i'm on a ship that is sinking and there's nothing i can do with it.
while in prelive horses i have the sensation that everything is always under control.
the price goes in the opposite way? ok, cut the loss and start another trading

anyway, no matter how we use it, the toy is great!

        Hi everyone and happy Christmas

Hello everybody, I'm new to TT and have not done any trading before. I have watched a few forums in other places and this one seems to be the friendliest one so far. I am 64 and live in Bracknell, Berkshire, U.K. about 4 miles from Ascot racecourse. I have been a widower since March this year but when my wife was alive, we were both fans of horse racing. I look forward to taking part in this great community.
I would be grateful for some help with TT and have posted an enquiry.
        Graham

Welcome to the community Graham¡ Your enquiry has been answered now, but feel free to ask whatever you need. However, the best approach to The Toy is to read the user manual.

            Hi everybody...

Some of you may remember me from the Racing Traders forum back in the days before it turned into a spam fest!

Been lurking around here for a few weeks but finally decided to sign up after reading The Geek's comments about this place turning into the trading resource that ST used to be. I joined the ST forums in January this year and that place really helped my trading. Now I'm more experienced, I hope to be able to offer advice to others like how I received help back in my early days,

My interests include Rugby League (My bread and butter), Formula One, Correct Score Football trading and ITV reality shows.

Downloaded the Toy again but awaiting Betfair authorisation! I have been using a combination of the Website and Bet Pod Pro since the demise of Bet Trader Pro.

Welcome aboard, 'The Real Moaner', i remember you aswell as a good contributor in the early ST forum days.

All traders without a hidden agenda are most welcome, you won't find 'secrets to riches' here or false promises.

Helping other traders, newbies or experienced ones, thats what TT forum is all about. No one is asking you to give away your 'edge'

Using the Bf website? omg! I couldnt go back since discovering the API apps available, esp. since experiencing the speed of The Toy!

Regarding BF authorisation: There was an issue over the Xmas period
with the Betfair console (the permissioning process). Also other API apps had the same problem, all should be fine now, maybe you can try downloading TT again and repeat the process?

                  Thanks Quo.

The BF website is okay for my trading on football / X Factor, but won't do for Rugby League / F1 so I definitely need to find something new! (My major problem though is that I usually have multiple back / lay windows open at one time whereas most API programs only allow one on the grid and have never really liked the ladder interface so need to find a way to get around that!)

I thought that BDP were on holiday til tomorrow so they wouldn't be able to fix any problems at their end? I'll give it another shot though.

Trading can be a lonely activity so any community which can offer neutral support and advice can only be a positive. Here's to this place carrying on in the style of what appears to be TG's original idea on RT.

                      Nice avatar!

Only one month to go until the season starts again.

I'd best start doing my homework so I can go on long rants again for the new season!

                          Trading Mentors/Buddies

I am new to the geeks toy. But I have a reasonably good understanding of trading.

Is there anyone in the West London area who fancies budding up, to bounce ideas off of each other and just a bit of networking with people on the same wavelength? A bit of face to face contact is good at times. I can trade at least four full days a week, sometimes more.
