No I dont think we need a dedicated Aussie section we all speak english to some extent,
The Aussie rules section would probably be advantagous howeve a bit irrelavant until we Aussie's can bet in-play, I believe the Productivity Commissions final draft on Gaming recommendations has been submitted to Government however its yet to be made public so we'll have to wait and see what the outcome may be in regards to the in-play issue.
Cant everyone type upside down?

Hi All,

Just registered and thought I'd introduce myself, Lewis from Manchester. Been trading for a few months now mainly on the football markets with mixed success. The missus doesn't agree with 'Betting' to which I reply...it's not betting it's Trading....still to convince her on that one!

Have been using 'The Toy' now for the past 3 days trading the evening races using minimum stakes and getting quite consistent profits (albeit minimal). Believe I hved overcome the 'chasing losses' and 'not cutting my losing trades short'' stage so I'm confident I can make a good go of it if I stick to my Money management/staking plan. (so far so good)

I work full time so can only do evening and weekend trading but with the evening racing coming up that should hopefully give me plenty of practice.

Thanks all for the great forum I'm sure I'll add more once I've had a play about with the toy and found a setting that works for me!

In answer to your question re "When in-play will be available in Australia", is the old question isn't it, "How long is a piece of string", I know this isn't a satisfactory answer however that’s about all I can tell you at this stage. The answer depends on when the Government is "Willing" to proceed with the recommendations of the Productivity Commission. We're at the mercy of politicians in this case, I know the Government has grave concerns re the racing industry and the distribution of funds from Tote and they also recognise that the ban on internet gaming isn't working. There is a lot of lobbing being done by the AFL, NFL, Tennis Aust, Betfair to mention a few to have the ban overturned so hopefully these organisations can motivate government to act sooner rather than later. Sorry I can’t be more specific than that at this stage, nobody at this stage know when it will occur, we just have to wait and see.

Here a couple of weeks but hey guys. Mainly bet on football and tennis but have a tendency to dabble in other markets depending on where I hear the info from. Since I'm Irish I also tend to bet on GAA and hopefully I'll be able to provide some tips for you guys once the Championship season begins (May).
