No, you're not being a bit thick! I keep changing the profile that I have stored in the Cloud, when people have asked me for various profiles. I'll change it back to the one that is being discussed in this thread.
Thanks ever so much, at least you have avoided the temptation to append your first sentence with "however, I find you extremely..." as most people would.
When i load up the toy tonight, i will put my profile on the cloud aswell, pretty similar to the original but i have modified it to be ideal for me. another option for you all
I notice that polly in her 1st thread has a straight line above the candlesticks that seems to represent the high points or resistance of the price movement, also the fogure 380s above is shown, would someone please explain what it is, what it does & how do i get ot onto one of my charts
thanks, chris
can anyone explain how to download another user's profile please? I've gone to 'download another user's profile', entered their name but nothing happens after that, is there another action to be taken after that?
First, you need to check with the person that you're trying to download the profile from, that they've made it available on the Cloud. Type that person's forum name in the relevant field and press enter. The new profile should appear in 'Load Custom Profile'.
Doubleback,
Thanks for your advice, polly91 must not have loaded her profile onto the cloud yet so I downloaded yours instead, all well & good so far, but unfortunately it somehow deleted my preffered settings altogether.
So a couple of questions if you dont mind:
1, how can i reinstate my settings, if possible?
2, why did it delete my settings in your opinion?
and
3, how do you save numerous different profiles without deleting or overiding what you've already saved?
Sorry for throwing this at you but clearly i havn't got to grips with this software yet
Again, many thanks & apologies if i seem dumb.
Chris
Hi doubleback,
its me again, chris.
Forgot to say, what i'd really like to achieve is a setup similar to polly91's, in as much as: ladder above that doesnt take up most of the screen & candlesticks, money traded below, market overview & possibly another chart/graph aswell. I'd be very grateful if you can you tell me how to do that please
Thanks, chris
I managed to accidentally delete all my profiles a while back, so I don't, as far as I know, have any profile in the Cloud. As for your settings being deleted, I can't offer an explanation. When you tried to download my profile, a box saying something like "profile not found," should have appeared. You can have multiple profiles and they don't over-write each other, unless you name them all the same.
I will knock something up for you. Give me ten minutes or so ...
doubleback,
many thanks for your time & effort, i've just realized something though, looking through various threads on this post i have noticed that on the right click drop down menu where it says 'save profile as' they have 'load custom profile' above it & 'delete custom profile' below it. I dont have those 2 options on my drop-down menu. that maybe is why i cant retrieve my own profile? I am using the most upto-date version of the toy so what am i missing here or could i have a fault somehow?
thanks chris
I have been chart reading for a long time in forex and futures in general, the concept of money flowing from one market to another is very clear to see in the 'in play interface'....
Doubleback, the profile that has been talked of in the OP,is that possible to get hold of?
Whats your charting experience??
im assuming candlestick patterns that apply and reflect psychology of market participants in forex or the stockmarket in general....equally apply in horse racing markets??? any variations i should be aware of???
Im new to trading these markets but then market mentality, herd behaviour, psychology are similar across the vast majority of freely traded markets...be it stockmarket or horse racing market
Chris, if you look back in this fred, Merlin, had the same issues as what you describe. The up-shot was, he needed to save a profile before the other options appeared. Save a profile, then try again.
mrgekko, I deleted the original profile that I created by accident. I believe other people still have it. I never used it in anger myself as I re-created it just for other users.
I am a chart user, I also trade forex. Moving averages are my weapon of choice. I have traded forex to a greater extent than horses for a good while now. This is because I can get into the groove of the price action and don't have to 'reset' every ten minutes when the markets go in-play.
