  • TradeShark Hedge added to the Toy!!

    Fame at last!!

As the Geeks said in Announcements I didn't come up with the idea but have been on at him for what seems likes forever to add this. Something that I saw on another trading app, this is perfect for tennis where you will often place trades on both ladders.
This hedge tool allows you to decide which ladder you want to hedge the whole market on. Simple enough to do manually but we use apps to make things simpler don't we?

I'd recommend having the P and L column switched on as usual so you choose your hedge price.

    Good work!!:Thanks

Can you explain a little of this features benefit please? I trade tennis and so trade on both ladders, but like to see level profit column for individual selection rather than as a whole.

Normally when I switch trades 100%, I make sure that p/l on the side I'm switching from is level. When I first used geek toy 1.1k where this option is set to on by default, I was all over the place in my first game wondering what the hell was going on, and therefore quickly found how to turn it off. However, as its designed for trading I'm sure it could be quite useful if I understood it fully?

Basically in 2 runner markets, backing one selection is the equivalent of laying the other.

In TS hedging mode, instead of the selection position, each runners green up figure shows the market position were you to hedge on that selection.

So when hedging it looks at both selections and places the hedge bet on the selection that greens you up with the most money.

      What's new in version 1.2

I can't thank you enough mate for putting this piece of software together in the first place. I can't believe I used to try and trade tennis in the past doing some poor math's in my head to work out the back or lay amounts

Big thanks to TradeShark as well as I would never have known about this software had it not been for his blog.

Where is the option to trade out normally? Umm, I mean, is there an option to not hedge this way?

Right click on the main header.
The option is in that drop drop down list
