This depth and good system with several academys hasn't produced anything of any value over the past few years and neither is it likely to when the national selector knows very little about an addition to the squad (Beer).

I think you'll also find Greg Marsh never kept wicket for Australia never mind became a legend.

i think Australia have been patting themselves on the back for too long and hiding behind the likes of Warne, McGrath etc. They have not kept up with the times, that is why they are ranked 5th in the world now.

Most of us couldn't care less about cricket. I acknowledge that those who like cricket are passionate about it as you seem to be. It is clear now that there will be no parade. Just as well as I think their performance has been good and I would not like to see them slighted by people not turning out to see them. Prime Minister is going to have a reception for them. So, sarnies and MBE's seem to be in order.
