It's very easy, if you don't want to donate, just use the website for a week and then AGT is free again.

I think this is the shortest of the many sensible remarks in this thread so I thought I'd quote it. Pretty much covers it all, the rest is just hot air.

If you don't want to put up the money you can always trial some of the other kits out there. If you get enough email adresses you should be able to get through a couple of years of dodging donations to GT.

I sympathise with the people who can't use Paypal though. Moneybookers, Neteller and maybe even a direct transfer should be made possible for them. I'm not sure if iDeal is international yet but that's a great way to pay with just your bankcard. Alternatively you could also transfer some money to Paypal through bank transfer right now so you're ready for July.

No you're not mistaken. The problem is not everyone having access to a credit card and that Paypal won't accept some credit/debit cards.

Another reason is that some people like to keep their gambling cash flow seperate from their "normal". If the Geek would accept something you can cash out to from Betfair like Neteller or Moneybookers it would be easier to donate through their "gambling wallet".

Well, when I say credit card, what I mean is Visa, or Mastercard (or enter whatever other types there are)..

I don't have a credit card either, but I do have a debit Mastercard, which is the same thing and when I got mine, I had 0 income, 0 job, 0 chances of getting a job, defaults all across my credit report, and they were more than happy to hand one to me.

Sorry, but I find it hard to believe that people can't get them.

I would very much like to donate, but I do not have a credit card and Paypal Ireland won't facilitate me without same.
I can donate via debit card ( Irish) or through Moneybookers or Netteller, but the Paypal method is impossible for me.
Now, I posted about this very issue back in November on http://www.geekstoy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3592 but did not receive a response that might solve the problem.
The pre-paid credit card suggested in a previous post might be an option -- I shall try this avenue in the morning.

I can only say that I was disappointed not to have use of the Toy during the Festival. I really missed it.
