  • Loss limit exceeded

Im getting messages stating Loss limit exceeded, and unless I miss something should not appear, because I think there is no setting in TT preventing it.

Laying 10 at 14 in a market where i have already a liability of 235 euros. However I have more than 600 euros of available balance.

    Im using the stake setting.

Can it be the API is going bananas?

it's not a toy problem it happens also on the Betfair site.

But is till dont know which is the cause, because I have more than 800 profit in the week, and dont know what can be the problem with my "risk" as i dont have open bets.

Looks like you've set some loss limits on the account at some time or other or have a very low exposure limit. You can check the limits by going into My Account then the My profile tab and edit them.

I'd advise any trader to get their limits raised well above the standard £5K limit , it's caught me out before and others I know with lower limits. If you have a £5K limit back a horses at 110 for £50 you won't be able to green out in one go because the lay bet required will be over your £5K limit even though you'd be £6K green on the runner

Only takes a phone call/email you can't exceed your balance and is well worth the hassle now rather than scratching your head why you can't green up at a later date and watching that potential green go astray.

        Thanks Millonaire Fund

I have checked it and, yes, a I had a weekly Loss limit of 300 €. Still, I don't know how it makes the calculations.

Yesterday evening I lost 234 € with the late goal of Stoke City (even with 10 players), but the summary loss for the date was 134 € due to Other profits. I have checked the weekly profit and its 1.159 € so the limit should not affect.

Could it be the following setting? Defautl by BF, I cant change it

        Limit exposure to
        Main wallet (singles): € -10,000.00

I think, your limit exposure [Main wallet (singles): € -10,000.00]
is more than enough to cover the bets you mentioned in your two posts.
I don't think this problem has to do with this kind of limit exposure.
          So ...

I'd say just call them and explain the problem, it's their job to figure it out and offer you the service you're paying for.

It's not to do with the Exposure limit as that brings up a separate message if you exceed that. It's down to the weekly loss limit you've set at £300. Betfairs loss limits and exposure limits don't use any clever calculations to see what your position is or even weekly pnl, it probably just accumulates losses and limits you regardless of any wins.

You should be able to edit the weekly limit of £300 to no limits yourself or give them a ring and they'll set it for you there and then
