Don't speak too soon. Last I have heard, betfair have not worked out what it is yet.

I had never freezing more than the 8 seconds.
but I can confirm that it is still happening, now at 19:32 for approx. 4-5 seconds during the 19:30 ffos las. also caan berry and others are complaining freezings on twitter:

yes, it turned back worse. from 2-5pm I didnt noticed any regularity, then in the evening the clock-times were as above: 12, 27, 42, 57.
                        I informed again bdp-befair.

It's been a bad week for the API,

strange sp bet behaviour, flashing prices, freezing prices, and yesterday I saw ESA not sending messages that it really should have been sending.

I received this mail from bdp, same link:

"We'll be releasing a fix to this issue later today and have posted the following announcement in the BDP forum - http://forum.bdp.betfair.com/showthread.php?t=3236

We'll update the forum posting as soon as the release has gone out.

Apologies for the time its taken to get to the bottom of this issue.
                              Kind Regards, ... "

I want to say that for me bdp is doing an excellent job in the last 1-2 years. I know that many will not agree. but for example the new (now old) api-ng has brought much more possibilities to trade because there are innumerous possible api-calls, before it was only at 20, now I am using with some instances of agt 100-150. so I can trade more markets in a decent way. the api-outages are less than some years ago where every saturday we had problems. nowadays we have only now and then an outage. I would consider that as more or less normal. even skype, facebook, some bank, my isp have sometimes some outages or other problems. then with the new api we should have much shorter api-times, and so trading will be better for the not-so-great-fishes. and the customer-service from bdp is fine for me, every problem you are reporting to them is being answered or resolved, they take care of you.
so thats my opinion, I know others dont think so.
