Dutching Profit Option?

Hi Guys,

The title of the thread should read "Dutching Profit Option"

Just wanted to know if there can be a target profit option using the multi-bet tool for dutching?

When I hit the "profit" button in the middle, there is no option to enter a target profit, so am I correct in assuming this option is not available for dutching?

Dutching
There are three types of staking methods in Dutching mode.
Total Stake - Total amount to divide amongst selections.


Profit - Target profit for selections.


Minimum Stake - Minimum amount to stake.



This has been copied and pasted from the manual. If you open The Toy and click on the small question mark at the top left corner the manual opens and the copied bit shown above is found in the entry "multibet tool".

So, it seems that your desired method is available although I have never used this feature myself.

Never used it before but just had a play with it and it works. It's very difficult to describe what I did so just play around with it, clicking the dutching button first and the profit box on the right hand side second. I didn't actually place any bets but I could see that the stakes on three horses had been adjusted automatically so as to return a level profit. Others are more clever at doing screenshots than I am and they may be able to show you graphically.

I have attached a screenshot and as you can see, I have highlighted the "Profit" box in the middle, but there is no box underneath where it says "profit" on the right hand side.

Is this layout different from yours?

One big difference ! Try selecting some horses by putting a tick in the boxes of the ones you want. Vary the stake in the stake box as you wish. Do things work now ?

I see what you mean custard, but it seems you cannot set a specific profit, you have to play around with the stakes to get the profit that you want.

It would be easier if you could just enter a figure, say £5.00 and it would work out the stakes needed to make that profit.

It's very rare for me to Dutch bet so I cannot comment. I don't use the feature myself and am happier working out the stakes myself and entering them individually when I do. The trouble with any dutching software is that although the calculations are made properly, the bets still have to be matched. It is almost certain that they will not be matched at times and that gives rise to a bit of a mess which has to be sorted manually anyway. So, I prefer to do it all myself.
