    fix your software so that the liability on the ladder mtches the liability on the settings? I just laid for a liability of £650 instead of the £100 I intended. Of course the beast gets backed as if defeat is out of the question leading to a huge loss!

    GGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

    Works fine for me...

    did you have liability staking selected at the top of the ladder column before placing the bet?

      I use back staking and lay liability - the ladder should reflect this and not have to be changed between trades.

      Obv losing a relatively large amount, I won't make the same mistake again but it should be changed to protect other users.

        The liability on the settings is the default staking options used for the grid / ladders when opening them. { The grid also uses them when you have in-grid staking turned off. }

        When using the software you need to ensure that each selection in the grid or ladder has the staking type / amount you require.

        Or am I missing something here?

          The way I read it is Dave wants to use Stake to back and Liability to lay, but AGT doesn't do that unless the staking type is changed in between bets.

            Sounds like the dreaded double click trick...when hedging out for a green you click twice...thus reversing your position and losing loads

              It would be useful if automatically Lay bets used Liability and Back bets used Stake...

                Yeah, I've seen that feature requested by many people on here ...

                  The way I have set up on the grid my lay liability is 100 and my back liability was 100 (from a previous back of that amount - usually lower). The ladder layed at a stake of 100 and a liability of 650. If I had clicked on the grid the liability would've been 100.

                    That's it, Dave, the Grid has that function, but the Ladder does not;

                    Separate Grid Lay Staking - turns Separate Grid Lay Staking on/off. When turned on a separate default Lay stake and default stake type can be set for lay bets placed via the Grid Interface. If turned off the same default stake and default stake type is used on the Grid Interface for both Back bets and Lay bets.”

                      I would also like that implemented, along with a key shortcut to disable tick offset.

                      I use a small workaround suggested by RmanPT in another thread.
                      I changed the default shortcut key of Liability to 'A' and use 'S' for Stake, so it's easy and fast to change between staking type.

                        I think you need to understand the staking types better.

                        S = Backers Stake
                        L = Layers Liability

                        I believe you are mistakenly under the impression that "L" is ultimate liability.

                        If so, you need to ensure the staking mode is set to "S" for back bets and "L" for Lay bets.

                          Yes, but you can only choose one mode at a time in the ladder, and this mode then applies to lays and backs.

                          It would also be nice if there was also an L/S mode in the ladder that made Lays L and backs S.

                            I understand perfectly what it does.

                            I have the grid set up to back at a stake and lay at a liability (which is an excellent feature). For me and it seems others it would be convenient for the ladder to mirror the settings and not have to manually alter the ladder staking.

                              Have a read of this thread, where Temujin explains why the way Liability staking mode now works is preferable over the suggestions being made ;
