The geeks toy uses more memory than ever. At the moment when minimized it uses 250MB. When market open it goes up to around 300 to 400MB. What is going on? The older versions used to use maybe anything up to 100MB. Also the CPU is off the charts for Geeks Toy - using up 50% plus of my CPU most of the time (a year ago it only used less than 10%). At this rate my PC will burn out soon and mostly down to this program - I guess some of this must be related back to Betfairs new API?

more or less the same for me, see post/picture some days ago here.
I think yes, its related only to the new bf-api.

                @ the geek:
is there any solution in a next version?

We are aware of one or 2 issues that are causing extra memory use / processor use in GT, but to date it's not affecting that many people and the fixes are quite complex.

It is something we are looking to address, but we still have a massive backlog of work due to Betfairs forced API downgrade in November, so it wont be in the near future.

If you find GT is slowing down for any reason after a certain length of time, for now you will need to shut down & re-start.

There is another commercially available trading software which is also reporting increased use of memory. It would appear that both The Toy and this other software are experiencing similar problems. As the two types of software are radically different in their structure it seems reasonable to guess that the memory problems have been caused by the new API.

                      Spot on custard.

"Navigation Data For Applications" api call is the culprit

send a Mail to bdp@betfair.com with the image, your Betfair user name and details, as this error comes from Betfair.

My favourite feature (seeing matched amounts on the ladder) seems to be totally out.

Hasn't been as bad as this before - thousands apparently being matched but my orders in the market not getting filled.

This is on the the Aussie API - not sure about UK
