    Just a quickie.

I've been using this to assess the merits of different strategies. Basically can see how the odds an the monet matched change through time. Definately worth a look.

It's a bit pricey - 82p per market. But I would suggest buying 10 markets and seeing how your strategy would have performed is a lot cheaper that trying it live and losing more.

Would be amazing if they could combine it with something like The Toy so that people can practice trading real live markets historically in their own time.

Or, just look at any horse race market. And, when you finished looking at it, look at a few thousand more. Free.

Aren't Betfair nailing people with charges for training mode now? And looking at 1000 markets can be very time consuming even though I agree it is the best way of learning. I used Fracsoft to back test a new football strategy based on odds I already had on my spreadsheet and it worked an absolute treat. It's far too expensive for football but very, very useful.

Every race is unique and a microscopic analysis of ten races will not be as rewarding as a lesser look at thousands. God knows how many horse race markets I've looked at on here over the years and I expect most are like me. If I've only looked at ten every day I have to be close to 20,000 now and I fear that the figure is much, much higher. ( Just goes to prove what a boring and meaningless life I have )

If one spends a great deal of time using trading mode and not placing any real bets it is possible that data charges will be incurred. The easy answer is to familiarise oneself with the software and, then, trade with minimum stakes of £2. This way you'll gain experience under real market conditions and test your strategies in a meaningful way.

I have absolutely no interest in horse racing.

              Mostly been using for football.

              Finding it very useful.
