Same thing used to happen to me when I entered a market with stakes that are just too large.

Just try entering a doggie market with even €2 stakes 3 minutes before the off. You'll get smashed.

rarerly who knows how those virtual bets work, just adds more confusion and conspiracy theories
im not really shure about those ''ghost jumping'' prices too, just seen couple times something similar as you described, turned off this virtual thingy off, looks like prices calmed down a bit, but i dont investigated it further, dont care much. geek should know better how its working. or its just fake menu, ''just in case someone needs to feel better''

The dogs is ridiculous. Enter almost any market except for a televised meet and you're in potential trouble. Even putting £2 one tick ahead of hundreds stacked up, and the hundreds can disappear - I just don't get why someone would manipulate a market with so much money to take a £2 the other way!?

i'm with flok on this!!! thats why, even with time delay, i am doing what i was first told
not to do, (go inplay) i feel that way it's me in charge, and not the other way round?
if that makes any sense. so i'm putting all my effort into inplay, rather than pre-race,
so the stress leval has dropped!!! (just a bit)

yesterday i talked privately about this topic with some other users who, in a very clear, understanding and expert way, explained some things to me and confirmed some of my impressions.
so, i'm done too with prerace trading. unless i use ridiculous stakes or have a huge bank and can manipulate the market, there's no way for me to make a constant profit since the bots became so aggressive.
i think they target you, they beat you for some time and then they leave you alone for a while to let you rebuild the bank... you dont eat the chicken that makes golden eggs, right? you take them and you wait for the new ones.

i'll stick to my in-play system, in-play the odds are connected with real and verifiable events.

hi shadow, early days, but feel more confident, and see more light at the end of the tunnel ? started by backing front runners then laying inplay, but like all things, it's become harder as more people are doing the same thing, but there's a multitude of things you can do inplay, (i like the tick offset & hedge tool) inplay of course.
as for profit, yes this is the way forward for me!!! i can build my bank no problem,
but still got the same problem of making errors, so the less errors the more profit!!!!
(same old shit really) but got the edge on confidence.

I only want to say sorry that I dont say anything to this thread as I would/want (I have noticed very similiar things as flok), but in these days I have many problems with huge ping-peaks and I am trying to resolve this 12 hours a day between all isp-teams and betfair-api-team.

I count over 80 races today, I presume Saturdays are busier.

Take £1 from every market, that's fairly nice. I'd gladly take it!

                              OFF TOPIC:
80 per day would be 2400 per month, that is double than a normal salary here.
and after the result of the last political vote in italy, i think it will become not only double but 3 times.
can't believe and cant understand why so many people voted berlusconi's party again!

In Ireland we finally voted out the ruling party that destroyed the country 2 years ago, remember that only 2 years have passed.

Current polls indicate that if there was an election tomorrow they would probably be back in power, it's absolutely mental.

Even if they renamed Fianna Fail as "The thieving bastards that wrecked your kids lives party" they would still get in, so the Italians are not the only idiots out there, remember, you get the government you deserve, we deserve to be flaggelated and subjected to endless years of Vogon Poetry.

Any chance the English would invade us again, couldn't be worse than the current status quo ?
