  • help setting ladder interface

    Hi

I trying to start some training on the horses, looking around i've seen this image here on the forum, can't remember which thread now :S.
I wonder if anyone is willing to help with how to program my interface this way. I've been trying for a couple of days now, it's really confusing.

The first circled chart, is Price Candle OLHC. The second, is Price Lines, with Moving Averages, Bollinger Bands and Best Back/Lay, activated.

In the picture, four splitters have been added to get the different charts.

Have you got your Ladder set-up, so it shows Streaming Charts on the Ladder?

Right Click the top of the Ladder >

    Ladder Layout >

    Select 'In Chart Column'.

Once you have done this, you can then select how big you want the Charts to be, how many Columns you want, which Column you want the Charts to be in, etc.....

The picture shows 2 Columns, with the Streaming Charts, to the Right of the Ladder.

    For 2 Columns:

Right Click the top of the Ladder >

    Ladder Layout >

    Max Columns >

    Select '2'

    Chart Size:

Right Cick the top off the Ladder >

Click on the 'Graph' icon >

Select the 'Chart Width' that best suits your screen.

For the Streaming Charts to be on the rght:

Right Click the horizontal margin, at the top of the Chart >

    Column Position >

Position 1, refers to the Column furthest to the left, position 2, refers to the Column to the right of position 1, etc., etc.......As we want the Column to go on the right and the your image has 5 Columns, we will select '5'

    Adding Splitters:

As I said previously, four Splitters have been added to the Chart in the image. This will then enable us to have five different Charts.

Right Click on the Chart >

    Layout >

    Select 'Add Splitter'

Repeat this four times, until you have five Charts on your Ladder. You need to be aware that when adding a 'Splitter', you are dividing the Chart that you have selected, into two. Make sure that you end up with what is shown in your image.

    Assign, the Charts:

We should now be in the position where we have two Columns and five Charts, showing on the right of our Ladder. Your Ladder, should be looking like the one in the image. All we need to do now is set-up our Charts.

    Right Click the Chart >

    This Chart Is >

The top Chart is 'Betfair Standard'

Do the same again for the Chart below >

The next Chart down, is called 'Price Candle OLHC'

    Then we have 'Price Lines'

    Then 'Traded Volume'

The Chart on the bottom is 'Traded Volume Moving Average'.

Now everything should look the same. There are settings within each Chart that need to be set. Get to this stage first, then we can take it from there.

Thank you for your help, I managed to change some things on my own before reading this, tomorrow i'll fix the rest .
I´ve read some things about MACD and Bollinger bands before, but I guess settings must be diferent for this kind of market right? The standard settings aren't good?
Well any suggestions or usefull links where I can learn more about the advanced graphics are welcome (especialy WoW).
