  • Another Noobs Diary

After a lot of reading, practising and learning I have decided to try my hand at trading, I've dabbled in it before with golf and tennis but have, for now, decided to concentrate on UK horse racing. My main reason for this is simply due to liquidity. I live in Australia but the amounts matched on our races pale into insignificance in relation to the UK. I have started with a very modest bank of just $50, I consider it a learning bank, if i go well then the bank will take care of itself. I won't get to bet every day but will update every day I do.

Here's my results from day 1, started with a very tidy win then I was a little late to bail out of a couple of markets i read wrong with 2 $5 losses, but overall on the day an ok start, with a $14.87 profit, if I can continue in that vain I will be happy, early days though and possible beginners luck?

I think in some races they can but I don`t know if the cash flow is any good.

This was all pre race trading, we can bet in the run, even on UK racing but that relies to much on the coverage not being delayed a few seconds for my liking and with our local races in running liquidity is poor.

I'll stick to pre race for now, if i do bet in the run it is more likely to be on sport.

Day 2 went ok, was pressed for time so only got to invest on 8 markets (plus it's the wee hours of the morning over here and I work in a few hours) I cut my losses a little better this time bar the one $8 loss but that moved very quickly so I did my best, I was going well and didn't want to stop in the end, happy with the little profit.
