  • Two Betfair accounts

Hi all, I have two Betfair accounts(sssh) and am wondering whether I can use the Toy for both, would this be possible, thanks.

Yes, but you need two separate forum accounts here - open another one and link it with your second betfair account.

You can and it is allowed but likely both accounts will be linked so would not recommend any funny business as if caught both accounts will be suspended for life.

Why? Betfair allows it, and naturally they are linked since they are both on your name. The only restriction I know of is that you cannot use the same means of deposit / withdrawal; I obeyed that rule, and have never had any issues.

Say for instants in regards to PC avoidance.

Yeah I'm not sure they will be too happy if some "money laundering" was done between the accounts either.

Nah, and I had in my mind fair usage policy.

I don't know of any serious institution that encourages activities against T&C, let alone money laundering, and there's no reason Betfair to be exception. So if you use your secondary account for such an activities and get banned, I'd say you got what you looked for.

Question. I am wanting to open a separate Betfair account, so I can keep trading separate from punting. My present account has been open since early days of Betfair and I now use it mainly for playing with the Toy. I get a few bits of information on horses and would like to play those totally separate.

What do I have to do/say to open a second account. I understand I need to use a different card and I can sort that out easily enough, but do I have to give a slightly different name and/or a different email and home address, or is it OK to be up front about it. I don't have any money laundering plans so would rather be straight about it, but don't want it being refused or suspended. Any advice?

                  Hi

Its perfectly acceptable to have more than one account, so ok and in fact best to be upfront about it. You will need to use different user names for each but can keep your name/address etc the same.

Only thing I would avoid is using the free £25 bet with your new account as I believe this is a no no and strickly for completely new users.

                  Hope that helps.

Cheers for that. So as long as I use a different card, then everything else can remain the same, although I'll need a different username for Betfair and a different forum registration for using the Geek's Toy with the account. (I intend to use the Toy for placing the bets, as I intend to use the % of bank feature for the staking buttons)

I was wondering about getting a friend to do a refer and earn for the new account, but as you say, it might make Betfair cross if they noticed. :Naughty

                      I used the £25 free bet when I opened a 2nd account.

Just tell BF upfront so that they can link the accounts for data charges and PC and it's not a problem.

When I asked they said 'You can have as many accounts as you want'.

I guess they might not be too keen if you opened 100 accounts just for the free £25 bets though
If you want more luck... Take more chances!

Probably best just to ask Betfair. You wouldn't want to use it and then for it only to cause problems down the line. T&C does say its only open to new betfair customers. Full T&C here..

If you do inquire let us know what they say as I need to open another account soon too.

With regards to opening account via referral, great idea, but again might not be worth it if indeed you do find the golden goose only for betfair to close your account due to shakey referrals. Just thinking about it, they could arguement that why did you need referring to betfair when you already had an account, and therefore was fully aware of betfair already.

When you open another account, as your name, DOB, address etc will be the same, it will automactically be linked to your other accounts so there's no need to advise them (at least I didn't and my accounts were linked). Once you've opened your account you can check to see if they are linked by going to the Premier Portal (make sure your logged in to betfair first).

In the top left hand corner you will see the account your logged in with and then your other user name(s) will be directly underneath.
