We're generally trading vs betting to reduce our exposure and flat out that pnl graph so we have a stress free ride. If you risk your bank once you'll do it again and considering a) betfair isn't the most stable of platforms b) we don't always think correctly with large sums at play - simple stats mean one of those times we're gonna get screwed eventually.
Fair enough we may actually double or triple our profit when using the bank but it's just that risk too far, there'll be thousands of other markets along shortly it's just not worth the risk. To me when people are overstaking, as well as being bad money management, it always seems to me they're just not satisfied with the amounts they're making and chasing profits.
