Thought I'd start a thread and see if anyone had any opinions.

Just so I don;t aftertime I thought I'd post my tournament position. I took it last night before this mornings game.

Everythings stacked up in their favour to win! BUT its new zealand and they always choke!

I would of thought New Zealand were the ideal back to lay, I can see them going sub 1.4 after running a few cricket scores and the tournament progresses, Like you say they do have a choking history but they really are leap years ahead of everyone at the moment!!

I wouldn't go that far. They lost their last 2 matches coming into the world cup and apart from sonny bill williams I thought their performance this mornings was just above average. Nerves were showing IMHO!

For my money theres way too much downside to risk a back to lay trade on them and besides my rugby trading is awful thats why I have just outright laid them. If they win then fair play to them!

          on a side note....

Is this just a lay, or do you have any intention of trading out at any point? The only reason I ask is because there was plenty of 6/4 with bookmakers that New Zealand would NOT win the World Cup. Having £144 at 6/4 would have netted £216 profit and there would be no commission (Not sure of Betdaq's current offers?).

            Good luck with this though, as always with the Rugby WC it doesn't really get interesting until the Pools are done and dusted;

Pool A - NZ & France to qualify
            Pool B - England & Argentina / Scotland
            Pool C - Australia & Ireland
            Pool D - South Africa & Wales / Samoa

Probable QFs; Australia v Wales, England v France, South Africa v Ireland, NZ v Argentina

Semi finals; France v Australia, NZ v South Africa

            Final; NZ v Australia

P.S. I wonder if Harry Findlay is still dabbling with BF? I remember reading the story about him dumping £2.6million on the All Blacks in 2008! It was in October of that year that he was found to have been laying his own runners

            Be lucky

Exactly my thoughts jim, i had New Zealand as a lay either pre tournament or after their first 2 pool games thinking their price will come in a little more all in time for france to expose some frailties and push it back out for us.

To reitterate, Im with you, New Zealand are a solid looking lay to me mate. massively underpriced....no team walks into a world cup and walks of with the title (in any sport) coming of the back of 2 straight defeats...not even New Zealand.

              Regards

I'll monitor how they get on but this is a strict recreational punt to add to the world cup mix for me!

the all blacks looked twice as good last world cup as this one and they bottled it bigtime. The only 2 things going for them is it is at home for them, which just raises the bottling stakes, and france their achillies heel are in the same group as them.

I am looking forward to tomorrows match. For me England to beat argentina but the game I am worried about is scotland!

The damn Scots always seem to put a spanner in the works when they play against us!

I think you guys are way out, NZ are brilliant value at around 4/5 absolutely brilliant. They won't choke and they certainly won't be worrying about the 2 games they lost prior to this as they rested lots of players in one of them and the other was in Aus, a very tough place to win and they fell asleep early and came back strong. A more switched on performance would of seen them win easily ( in my opinion).

I truly believe they should be priced around 1.5 for the World Cup and I will be with them at all prices down o that level.

I guess only time will tell and I will be watching intently!!

Good luck!! History tells us newzealand are the biggest chokers in the game! Australia are looking great pre tournament. Dress it up any way you want but they took a full strengh new zealand apart a couple of weeks ago.

Can't wait to see new zealand france on the 24th!

on a side note there is a great rwc app both for android and the iphone so if you have either go and get it from your app store because its free!

in the meantime I shall be wearing this......

Don't need to post any screenshots, Let's just say I am on pretty big and wether you need a screenshot or not to believe it?? Is matterless to me as that's not what I am trying to say in this thread.

Also what exactly are you looking forward to seeing in the France game?? It's just i'm watching them now against japan and don't really see how New Zealand could be troubled in the slightest by them??

                              Handicap snips?!

                              Tonga +60
                              Romania +35
                              Namibia +30
                              Japan +42

All of the above have gone in (or are going to go in), so the good old bookies might have some head scratching to do!

It's a 12 to 14 point start for Argentina (vs England) depending where you bet, can they complete the five timer??

                              Be lucky
