No point in letting a good position potentially go to waste on the final day, so hedged the USA at 7.4 for a nice return on a low liability lay.

And this particular furrow threw up a handsome harvest, it's got to be said! I think there is often value to be had simply by going against the wisdom of the market. That's not to say your analysis was wrong, btw, just that on this occasion the contrarian trade paid very nicely thank you very much
The USA hit 2.5 briefly a while ago so i've no red now...maybe I'll regret not just hedging but to my mind a 'free' trade is the best kind.

Your on your own with this one Gun.
I don’t follow the women’s game at all I'm afraid. Had a look at a few pundit's articles and some are making the case for the under dogs.
Trouble is the format does not lend itself to favour the David's v Goliath's.
Day 1, 8 foursomes...Day 2, 8 four-balls.. Day 3, 12 singles...Same as the Ryder Cup pre '96.
If you say the Yanks strength is 4ball and singles it will take a herculean effort on day 1 to move that 1.37 up much..6-2 Europe may see 1.7-1.9 but other than that Yanks will stay low.
Hope the lay works for you. Yanks don't like 4some's so it could do, stick a few backs in... prices should jump around a bit....GL with it.....

The Solheim Cup
Now that the 'Other Sports' section of the forum is almost exclusively golf focused I thought it appropriate to start a thread on the Solheim Cup.
I'll be up front and say I don't follow Ladies Golf, but quite enjoy watching it for some reason
Anyway, with five rookies including 17 year old Charley Hull playing for Europe the Americans are huge favourites.
I notice that Michelle Wie is a wild card for the States. Remember how she really threatened to set the world on fire a few years ago, signed a 'made for life' contract with Nike, and then promptly disappeared from view!
Anyway this trader can't leave a lay price of 1.37 sitting on the shelf before tee is stuck in sod... so £100 stake it is for me!Tags: None
