  • Donation?

    Why am I being requested to donate £10 to use this software?
    I spoke to a friend who attempted to use the software last month as was asked to donate some money last month. If I do donate the £10, will I get any further requests to do so. If they keep asking for £10 a month. I am using this as I thought it was free.

    That was so last month!

    You only have to donate if you want to use AGT during charity fundraiser weeks which are few and far between, other than that, it is free.......

      But what charity fundraising is going on at the moment to request £10 for?
      Software states it will turn off tomorrow unless I donate £10.

      Also what if we do not agree with the charity that the monies are being raised for? I for one coul dnot care less for things like children in need, but support many other charities on a monthly basis. These include, guide dogs FTB, RSPCA and Marie Curie.

        Where does the software say it will turn off tomorrow?

        What you are seeing is probably out of date, there has been a new version release since last month...........

          There was no email, its on the front of the software as I load it up.
          The message this morn asked for a donation and the massage when I loaded up this afternoon now shows a different message stating I need to donate otherwise it will be inactive tomorrow

            The current donate message is a reminder for people to donate if they can. TG has just released a new version that he has spent many hours coding in a training feature and on top of the many hours he spent coding for other people to use the software he then has to pay the hosting fees that this board costs to run. I think he is more than entitled to put a donate message up anytime he wants!

            If you don;t agree to the charity don;t donate and use another subscription based software for the 3 weeks a year tt requires a donation. Pretty simple really.

              TBH I agree that the sftware is worth a donation, however I do not agree that the software should be inactive if you do not want to donate.
              It states 100% free, which it is obviously not.
              Plus what is to stop a donation being asked for on a monthly basis....

                Ah yes, i see it now when i login,

                TG has put in a lot of effort and is simply asking for a donation in a tongue in cheek way,

                he is not demanding a donation but out of courtesy if someone does something for you it is polite to do something in return like donating,

                use it for free if you wish but you won't be able to use it during a charity fundraiser week if you don't donate.....

                  The message on start up is part joke, part reminder that it does cost quite a bit of money to run this product. I post the same message up usually on the last weekend of every month. { Still if you provide me with your PayPal details, I'll pay you £10 to use it instead. }

                    No one is making you pay for the product, and other than charity weeks which require a single donation at some point prior, it is 100% free.

                    If you wish to remain a freeloader that is your right, but unless you have made a contribution to the project, I suggest you don't criticise it as freeloaders who get on my nerves usually have their Betfair account blocked permanently. { Especially those who have never even bothered to come and make a positiver contribution to the community either. }

                      One thing that i have found out when using this software is that the British sense of humor doesn't travel well!

                      Just like Carlsberg having to change their strap-on because people in other countries didn't understand it
