  • What Betfair API access type does The Toy use?

Looking at the Betfair API access types, from what I can tell there is a free, rate limited, personal access option, and vendor 'full access' (that costs £2k per year).

Does anyone know which access type The Toy uses? If it's the vendor access, I assume The Geek pays the fee for our benefit...

This might help, it is definately not the free limited one as AGT is probably err........ not probably,

is - the quickest betfair software.....

      Thanks for that.

That thread suggests that if you give your software away for free you get a free vendor access licence. Is that correct?

The reason I ask, is I'm interested in writing a soccer trading application, but neither the free rate-limited API, nor the £2k vendor fee, are particularly appealing.

I suggest you email BDP and ask them.

          What's new in version 1.2

I may be wrong but I believe it was YOU asking The Geek for code source before ?

And even talking about reverse engineering ?
Do you have now your own customized Toy ?

No, I don't. For the avoidance of doubt - I wouldn't ever steal someone else's code.

I am interested in writing a trading tool for football, but it would focus on different things - automated trading and historical analysis. I would happily open source it / give it away - I'm not interested in 'selling a product' - it's the technical challenge that interests me.

Though not if I have to pay £2k for the privilege!!
