my stake was £2 spread across 17 horses odds of 21 and 19s the other 15 were 250 plus giving me £10 plus profit if the 2 favourites didn't win (which they didn't) but its betted £16 not the £2 total stake yet in the boxes it says stake 62p 67p 42 p 1p 1p 1p 2p 1p 3p 5p .... on each horse adding up to £2 but only 3 horses give me profit the rest 13 to 15 loss

I think you need to learn a lot more about how Betfair works before you use any tools. You are trying to place bets which are below the permitted minimum level and this gives rise to enormous complications. The new API is struggling to cope with legitimate stakes and you should refrain from placing small bets.

im still learning that's why im using small stakes as advised at the start the £2 stakes works fine on english race markets just the irish ones it don't I made my loss back so will leave the irish races alone but just wondered why it placed £15 worth not the £2 that's all

Do a search on this forum for "betting under the minimum amount". When you read the appropriate posts you will see that the placing of a bet below the minimum involves three different stages. All have to be completed in order for a small bet to be placed. It is almost certain that your bets did not complete the three stages because bets were unmatched and your liability was greater than you wished it to be. Placing one small bet is difficult, placing lots on the same race is almost impossible.

I can't answer your question because I do not have complete knowledge of what you did. You need to understand the three stage process of placing bets in order to place a bet which is below £ 2. Hopefully, when you understand it, "the penny will drop" and you will see for yourself what you are doing wrong. As a beginner you should keep things simple. What you are attempting to do is just about as complicated as things can get.
As a general word of warning, even using stakes above £ 2 does not guarantee what you seek to achieve. All bets need to be matched and this depends on the time of placing the bets, your place in the queue, and the liquidity of the market.
