My lays are picked from knowing the horses, recent form doesn't effect my decision.

We know some horses just up the road from us on the mountain. They don't help me with my trading Take them bread and carrots but so far they have kept very quiet. If recent form doesn't matter, just how far do you go back in time to determine your lay bets ? When I back and lay horses in running I never have the least idea of who the horse is. Don't know his name or his jockey's name, so form doesn't matter. I just back high and lay lower.

Regarding the charts, i think they are pointless, and thats just my opinion of course!

I reckon you and Custard or to give him his full title, Colonel Custard Self Appointed Leader of the A.C.L (Anti Chartist League) will get on like a house on fire!!

20% pc id be prepared to pay, but theres a long way off from making the 250k for the higher pc charge.

Also if i made 250k i doubt id be arsed about trading! I could just lay lay lay and make a few bob each month.

My laying strategy involves laying 2 horses in certain races. One is an automatic lay (system based) and the other is from knowing the horses as stated above. All lays priced below 3.0 i lay for double stakes and i do not lay second lay in the race. The second lay can't be priced above 9.0 aswell.

Do you remember the man with the laying system who operated "over the road" ? Mr Blagger said he had a great system. Sadly he managed to pick three or four winners on one day, got stuffed, and went back to Turkey. I think his name was "Ufuque" . I am sure he was well intentioned, just not very good, I'm afraid. ( Yes, that was his forum name )

Above sums up my experiences laying for over a year, 1 or 2 horrendous days murders you... and they will happen.

Well done, sports trader, the best ideas are always the simplest. If you have stumbled on something I can assure you, your edge will go if you tell people.

Post your pnl by all means but guard any secret with your life, there's plenty of people out there who'll be able to exploit any edge better than you and unfortunatley all the best edges usually have a short shelf life so make the most of it whilst you can.
