Betfair won't change anything, there needs to be serious competition. I thought Ladbrokes acquiring Betdaq would boost the liquidity but it's still lagging behind, even when Betfair's API is unusable.

Looks like they are changing things........ For the worse.... From over the road:

We noticed increased latency on routes to Betfair recently.

On querying with Betfair they confirmed that an extra hop is taking place via a third party to filter traffic via a DDOS service.

So we thought you should be aware if you are seeing an increase in ping times.

Same old shit, different day. Just called the helpdesk as API froze up in the 17.05 and the phone bet rep couldnt do anything either... its froze for me he says..... company is beyond a joke now. pfft

Seems very sticky for me right now. It's taking a couple of seconds to cancel bets, which ain't easy on stress levels on in-play flat horse racing.

I'm amazed anyone can trade pre-off with the current API anymore. My system seems to show me prices and money that is delayed by about half a second to a second. It might just be my computer processor but it's a change I've only noticed very recently.

I had same problem before 20 minutes, but just one time. Geeks toy froze, to force turn off with Task Manager, then restart and everything working fine after that.
