I am sure that the bdp team of betfair is only a mythos that doesnt exist. there are some drunken/drugged 21-23-years-old guys with a beer in their hand and some friends and some other gamers and all are friends of one of the bosses/shareholders and between some porn and some games and more beer and some drugs these "professional" tramps are doing something unknown, telling all the world that they are programming solutions.
only nigel is a good guy and always kind and helpful. but he has no power to change things because the other useless existencies are already there and they dont die, so no place to take for real programmers and a real bdp-team.

You have to love Betfair though.
First it was scheduled work.
Then it became a DDOS attack made as a deliberate attempt by a third party to interrupt their service.
(I wonder if they are sure the "DDOS attack" isn't actually all the clients trying to reconnect to their API/site? )
Also when it was considered scheduled work I tweeted them about the status page they once had.
It was discontinued (they made that more than clear). And although I asked 3 times where that information is now (and why in the hell does the old page still exist) I got nothing.
Anyone know if there is such a thing? Or clients don't get to know their maintenance schedule now?
P.S. - Love that they say they can't remove the "old" status page because and I quote "Because it was discontinued, the web link will still be accessible." which makes no sense at all.

This is just getting outrageous. On Saturday afternoon the API stopped working and their site was awfully slow - but it was the Aintree Grand National, same old story. Then yesterday around noon there was another hiccup that lasted a few hours, can't really understand why. Then today the same ****ing thing happens, with the exception that it seems to last longer. The fact that my base commission rate is a whopping 6,5% and moreover there's the infamous Premium Charge, I just can't wrap my head around how poor their service is. I mean thrice down in 3 days? ****ing unbelievable. I only lose a couple thousands overall but they must miss out on hundreds of thousands, if not millions with these downtimes. And this happens time after time again. I'm truly starting to believe that they don't even really care. It's sad what this once great company has become. We've said this numerous times but I just wish some other exchange would finally capitalise on Betfair(Betfail?)'s mistakes.

According to the Betfair Helpdesk twitter account, the whole site is down because of a DDOS attack. Now if that's true, how is it possible that some of the races were traded in-play according to their Timeform site? I haven't been able to reach the site since around 12:00 am.
