I am in Australia, and I am looking at around 600-700ms ping. Pretty sure you could go anywhere in Europe and wouldn't come close to being near half that.
Temujin do you manage to scalp any markets where you are,or are you forced to swing?

If Betfair considers you an international customer, the odds refresh rate will be around the same as above but your bet placement will be much much slower; your bets get sent to Malta servers before going to the UK which makes for a pretty long trip. Expect to wait close to a second or more (sometimes up to 3-5 on Saturdays!) to see your bet added to the queue.

Is that true though? I was under the impression that it only mattered which server you were logging into, not your account status. Therefore, if you log into BF with a UK IP, you should be going straight to the UK server, outside of that, go through Malta. As for the 3-5 seconds, I have never seen that before, well, not since I moved away from BR anyway...

I have always honestly said that UK racing was not something I was particularly good at. I am primarily a sport, aus race trader. I cannot tell you whether it is my position, or ability that makes me struggle to be consistant with UK racing, but from my brief time on the Toy, I was seeing much more consistant profits.
