More back bets than lay bets placed on exchange

I notice there are more back bets than lay bets placed on the exchange, how to find out the exact ratio?
by bets placed i mean taking a price thats available not market making anyone know how to take advantage of this?

I dont think so laymore. There must be an equal amount of bets to be matched? can you explain what you mean?
