  • 1-1 score ratio

    Hi all

Havent been trading for long so would love if some of you have any idea of the average ratio of a football game ending in 1-1 as id love to avoid this for my strategy. Currently i sat down and just glanced at the scores every now and then and saw it might be 7:1 (1 being a 1-1 score). But if this seems incorrect please let me know..also any tips on how to avoid 1 - 1 score games, i've heard friendlies would be one but theres way too many friendlies and so way too much profit to not be gained...any other ideas?

Start trading the market after one of the teams scores 2 goals.
If you want more luck... Take more chances!

Thanks for the input cran..dont whether that was a genuine comment tbh..my strategy involves getting involved at the 0-0 scoreline in at least the first 5 mins inplay

1-1 in the Premiership is roughly 12% chance on average. Other leagues may be different, you can get the figures at soccerstats, a really good site for this sort of thing:

Cran was having a little joke . Perhaps you could consider buying a crystal ball .

The blunt but unwelcome answer is that a blanket strategy trying to avoid 1-1 draws won't work. The markets are super efficient and there is also the BF comm to think of.

        Sorry.

No holy grail as of yet, thought I had something good but seeing the stat link you sent me there's far too much 1-1 which would wipe out my profits slowly. I could rescue it by backing 1 - 1 at the 60th minute but that price is too low for me (anywhere around 2.4-3.2 approx)

This is the first thing to change. Greed will make everything much more difficult, including betting. And, by not letting go some games, you throw away possible winning strategies. And, finally, it makes no sense anyway, the potential profits are endless with or without the friendlies.

Nothing wrong with greed unless that is all you have. Greed drives ambition and stops you from being mediocre.

Manpreet if you come on to a forum such as this and ask questions like that you do tend to invite a bit of gentle ribbing!

The answer to your original question is that between well matched (i.e. similarly priced) teams 1-1 will start at between about 6.6-6.8 and the higher eights depending on the league and the teams.

My preferred CS strategy actively seeks out 1-1 - either as a result or a staging point in-play, so if anyone knows how to avoid 0-0's any help gratefully received
