        • Hi, I am Francky. Wasn't fond of gambling whiles growing up until I tried some soccer betting in my home country a few years back, it wasn't going well for me so I thought of trying something foreign. Created an account on betfair sportsbook but didn't stake any bets on there as I had stumbled on a post about trading and the exchange market. Been experimenting on it for a year or two now and am learning a lot from all the losses I've made. Read a few stuff on here and I am certain there is more to learn here as well. So 'Hello everyone'. I've got a lot of questions to ask, and I hope I will get answers!...

          • Hi i am newbie here.
            Now i learning about trading.
I am looking for a site that will show what was the live odd in the 60' minute on the match Barcelona-Real Madrid (02-04-2016) ??
Do you know anything?it will be very helpful for me.The most sites (betbrain-oddsportal) have history of the odds but not the odds in the live.
Thanks in advance for your time!!!

                  • A bit about me. (I didnt intend to write the follow up to war and peace but hey ho- apologies in advance)

Im 36, originally from wales but moved to manchester for university. I later worked in a soul crushing job at a bank and sacked it in to study property and investment, and became a chartered surveyor when i was 28. I work in property development focusing on public sector regeneration schemes in manchester. I love many parts of my job, but as ive progressed up the ladder its highly become highly stressful. A few years ago i developed an interest in stocks and shares and some trading. I learnt a lot about the psychology of trading, i then learnt that no matter what you read in books, applying it in real life is much more difficult. I still struggle today with cutting losses and snatching wins. I went through a rough patch 3 years back where i separated from my missus of 14 years, had to sell my house, move, and almost lost my job to redundancies alongside various other issues and stopped trading whilst i tried to pull myself together.

A few years down the line things are looking up. However, ive realised i dont want to work for other people in a 9-5 (or 9-7 as it feels like), that my line of work doesont really make me happy, and would like to expose myself to other ways of drawing income. I got into betting via Matched Betting, which taught me a little about how bookies work, and how fractions, odds and books are made. I watched with interest historic graphs and read volume etc - my experience of financial markets also came in handy. I came across Caan Berry, and then the guy that set up racing traders. I then obtained a copy of geeks toy and the rest is history, i was hooked. By nature im inquisitive, i like puzzles, and to problem solve, to try understand how things work.

My trading setup is an imac with paralells installed, two screens.

In my free time im a pretty sociable fella. I've got quite a wide range of interests and read a lot. Im an avid follower of muay thai and jui jitsu. The Kodiak screen name comes from a vision i had when drinking ayahusca (one of the most potent psychedellics known) with the shipibo tribe deep in the amazon. That was quite an experience.

id like to gain a deeper understanding of the market, to learn skills to develop my own edge and to hopefully win more than i lose through further practice. Im not expecting a silver bullet or to earn £200 a day without fail. I realise you only get out what you put in, and id like to develop my skills on that basis. In an ideal world (which we dont live in), my goal would be to get to a stage where i can consistently draw profits. I'd like to tally that with the the sideline i earn from matched betting and to maybe reduce my hours at work to part time, and in a perfect world to trade full time if i ever could get to earning £150 per day on average - this might be completely unfeasible. I like the idea of trading from a laptop connection and usb screen. I dont know whether it would be feasible via API speeds to do this from abroad, but would love to live in Barcelona one day.

                    • Hi everyone
Im 39, originally from Brazil but moved to Uk in 2007. I work in a very busy factory job at euphorium bakery. I love football and I found out many traders working full time earning money through betfair. I started learning trading 1 year ago I now want to dip into this universe and maybe one day it will be my independence lifestyle.

                              • Hi. I am new to sports trading. Have traded unsuccessfully on Forex.
I would like to learn the neccessary skills to enable me to scalp British horse races throughout the day, with a view to providing a sustainable income.
I have a starting capitol of £500 in betfair. I plan to watch all tutorial videos and read the forum posts to gain insight into possible strategies. Any help/advice from seasoned veterans would be much appreciated.

                                Nice to be aboard.
