    Hey John,

Same for me really, but have got burnt a couple of times laying on big odds & not hedging quick enough when the horse put on a great finish to win the race
NB - my betting has all been off radio call as i don't have Skye yet & the internet has too long of a delay. Best wishes mate!

    Ow bist, ole butt

'ello I'm Ben, from Gloucester, England and I'm a total newbie to all this.
I have gambled (lost) for years, mainly on Football and National Hunt racing, and indeed am a Season Ticket holder at Cheltenham Racecourse (peasants enclosure!) but decided now that I am going to try trading and be as professional as I can within my budget and time constraints.
Be prepared for plenty of stupid questions and anguished comments!

    Hi all,
Craig from Australia here and my 1st post. I hope I'm in right place for this.
Could someone point me in the right direction in regard the correct settings for the bollinger bands and the moving averages in the charting section.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi to all. I am really not a big fan of Betfair. I love gambling, but I don't have any problems with it. I just went on to different sites for the past few months and I hope Betfair would change my expectations. Have fun to all.

    Hi folks

I'm a poker player interested in getting into the profitable end of the world of sportsbook. I've got some buddies who are doing well at sportsbook via a number of systems etc, but as a total beginner, I need to educate myself a bit more on the lingo, concepts and tools before i will consider putting my £ on the line.. so here I am. I found this forum via @geektoy's tweets. hope to learn a bit here and maybe make a few friends as I breeze through.

    cheers y'all

Hi from Perth, Western Australia .
Firstly I wanted to say a genuine big thanks to the Geek for developing this extaordinary piece of software.
I have just migrated here from Scotland and have started to learn trading, using the training bank of course!
I guess that one good thing about trading from OZ is that I can work full time during the day and learn to trade at night... anyone else here in OZ wanna get in touch ? Please do.
Cant seem to find any Australian races with trading going on....not sure why ... is it just quiet on betfair in the OZ markets?
    Anyway...enough of my ramblings.
Much respect to the Internet Busker extrordinaire !!!

    # have recently come across a company 'down under' that is marketing software that promotes a safty net for lay trading, in the way of a single click button to pull out of a lay bet during the running of a race....they named it the 'hedge button' & once you hit the button, odds are quickly calculated & you pay a very small amount for pulling your bet. So, being new, I thought this was the situation that existed where any software offers hedge options.

Can anyone tell me if 'Toy' has the same capacity, or if you know of the software I came accross.

Hope you have some info/cheers Ozmacca
Yes it has a hedge button & other hedge options. :Welcome

    Hi all.

I've just started to use Geeks Toy and I'm loving it. Thought I'd check in on this forum and was really pleased to see that it's so well populated.

My main sport is football (proper football - not that American stuff) although I do dabble in a bit of horse racing.

I've been betting on and off for over twenty years now but have never made any massive money from it. However, now that I'm a bit older and more mature (hehe) I'm trying to be disciplined with my betting activity and am attempting to take it more seriously.

Getting Geeks Toy was a step into the direction of something a bit more "pro" and, I must say, it has changed the way I bet on Betfair already.

Anyways, I hope to be a fairly regular poster on here and I look forward to getting to know you all a bit more over the coming weeks and months.

    Cheers.
