Yes I will take a look at this when I get home tonight, at the moment I have been betting very small, £4 is the maximum I have been doing, I am aware of my limits and will not risk a high percentage of my capital.

    Thanks for the reply

ive been using the geektoy for a couple of weeks now, wonderful piece of kit, but its wise to take things very carefully when trading, still cannot get any feel for the movement of the price on the ladder, its easy to lose money very quickly, id advise using 2 pound stakes whilst trying to get an understanding of the way the odds move, and make sure you use the stop loss, that way you minimise your losses. good luck.

Hi All, Im new to the Forum, just getting into trading and admittedly my knowledge is fairly limited atm.

I am aware of the basic concepts and am doing ok with a small float at the moment.

Although some of this may be answered in other threads I just have a quick question on what you feel is needed to be a successful trader.

When it comes to things like dutching and scalping I am truly a beginner here.

Do you need to employ all of these concepts to be successful or just some of them?

    thanks david

Hopefully I familiarise myself with the Toy enough in the next week or two to use it fully in the new year.
KaiserT, you’ve been trading tennis for 3 years on the website? Fair play to you if you’ve made a success of that. I guess you can swing trade and pick certain spots, especially in WTA matches. That’s what I’d do, anyways.

    Welcome everyone!

jrh, trying new things won’t do much harm, as long as you stick to tiny stakes and build from there. There are so many ways to make a return from different types of markets, so try and find something that makes sense to you. Whatever you do, always try to look for value opportunities.

trogen, don’t rush into going full time. Also, if you think you need to bet large amounts to get decent returns, you’re mistaken .
