Too be honest that is so obvious you deserve to lose your cash trying to sneak some cheeky ticks!! What happens if if put a back and lay on 1 tick below both with 1 tickoffset? All gets matched for 0 profit or can you be quick and cancel for a profit?

A simple example of people pissing about...

So you think, "Cool, I'll put a lay offer just above the 1500 and scalp for 2 ticks." You place your order of £100. It's matched.

Suddenly, you see this:

And the market drops cos the 1500 and 2000 were pulled.

There are different type of "mills", what I fear most is the one that creates a false point of resistance. A point of resistance is a price at what level are exchanged large amounts (in the few moments before) and the stakes matched are replaced continuosly by fresh ones.
A point of resistance is a good entry point for a trade and ensures that the price will not turn violently against us ... but if this point is a fake

i see what you are saying here, they constantly mop up at a certain price level and then all of a sudden it disappears and 7 ticks are gone in the blink of an eye ... seen that happen

maybe i was being a bit green but i just thought they were big gambles or drifts!!

Of course, the points of resistance can be broken in a natural way, and often happens. But why, in the other cases, the "mill" does not work when i bet 20 euro but it is immediately triggered when i bet 200€? 1-2-3-4-5-100 times and the suspicion becomes a certainty.

I think my arguments are a little out of topic, so i wish to give PC0845 a little advice (if i can):

Motivation is essential for success, if your first and only motivation is to make money then you have the exact same scope of 2 million customers of BF.
If the motivation is the fun then the money lost is the natural cost of entertainment.
You have to find something better

Well, if it helps PC, I blew my winnings again yesterday. All was going well until I laid Speightowns Kid in-running, just as he burst through the pack. It wouldn't have been so bad except I hadn't changed my stake to my usual £5 .... I'd left it on my pre-race stake of £50

Unfortunately no, it was a pretty unlucky day, only had a couple of wins and ended up losing more than $300. I'm rather botting in-play, than betting and get such poor results from time to time.
