Default Big Brother 2012

Starts tonight, fun market, plenty of opprotunity to trade. I'll share my "Winner Blueprint" for you all to add to/ shoot down. Probably the latter.

1. No preference towards sex. 7 out of 12 winners have been male (for what its worth Im counting transexual Nadia as a woman). Word of caution - Attractive model-type women don't fare to well with only Sophie in 2009 winning.

2. Age - All winners have been aged between 20 and 32, only 2 aged less than 21. Age group 22-25 have produced 6 winners whilst over 26s has produced 4

3. Skin Colour - Only 1 black person has won, Brian Belo in 07

4. Nationality - 1 Scottish and 1 portuguese has won, the other 10 winners have been english

5. They don't get involved with house politics, tend to stand alone.

6. Keep an eye on various opinion polls throughout the show and see who tops the public polls. Also keep an ear out for crowd reactions at evictions

In order to help me with my initial bets, I'll be listening to the crowd reaction when they enter the house.

Also, on a side note, 12 out of 12 of the first evictions have been women.

Long term be wary of heavy smokers and big eaters cos if the money gets tight they will generally feel the burn more than most so will become irritable > cause arguments etc

A gayer will generally get into the finals - although I don't know if I'm making that up, but it seems to be about right ...

Big eaters will also annoy because chances are they will tend to block the Khazi first thing in the morning.

There was a famous gym down the road from my granny's pub and I was due to go there to learn how to box. It had produced a World champion and he lived next door to the pub. My father was all for the idea but my mother stopped me going because I was to pretty to get "bashed up".

Hi J,

I have never watched Big Brother and have no interest in it, but even so I think that you've got a key indicator in No 2 - age. There looks to be plenty of mileage in laying first,

cheers, MC

These were the prices when all housemates had entered the house (pre-nomination):

While stats can be key indicators, they still need to be used properly.
eg, while it may seem to be an important stat that only one black person has won in the history of Big Brother (I don't claim to have watched it know, just a stats in general point), that point is quickly shot down if there has only ever been 1 black contestant.
That 1 stat alone can very quickly turn from "Only 1 has ever won" to "100% of black men entering the house have won"...
The same with the age groups. Fair enough, but how many contestants have been in each age group. Etc etc etc etc etc etc.....

That is a very valid point, Temujin, however, I don't know if you're familiar with political correctness in the UK.

If a group of people are shown on telly, the group must be broken down into something like ...

x amount must be white,
x amount must be black,
x amount must be asian,
x amount must be gay,
x amount must be disabled,
x amount must be male,
x amount must be female
and last but by no means least ...
x amount must be tree huggers ...

Therefore, even though it's a point well made, in this case, I'm inclined to lean towards Jamie's analysis ...

P.S. don't forget the transexuals! What's his/her face? Luke ... the current favourite ...

Now, is he favourite for being a tranny ( I note that a tranny, Nadia, has previously won BB),

or,

when/if he/she tells the house he/she was born a bird, will his/her odds come in or go out?

I have never seen any part of any "Big Brother" programme. I have never seen "Friends" nor even the tiniest part of "The Bill". Is there something wrong with me ?

Fair enough ! I backed Germany in the Eurovision Song Thingy. He looked like he had a bandage on his head. I didn't research the market properly. Also, the red wine had kicked in.
