This match saved me after a shite day on the ponies, have given up trading them for a while but was trying something new which did'nt go quite as planned. The bank survives for another day thanks to tennis.
In fairness I think Isner was well odds on before the start and although he lost the first set I don't think it's uncommon for such favourites to at least come back and put up a good fight or win the second set.
These kind of games always make me wonder who backs at such low prices.
Saw a game there a couple of weeks ago, womens tennis I think, both players traded to 1.01 at some point in the game.

More often than not the favourite (if its a clear favourite) will win the second set, allowing for a huge swing for traders (often from odds around 3.5 back down to below 2)

Default An ode to John

Every tennis tournament you would see him arrive.
He stood 6 foot 6, weighed 245.
Kind of broad at the shoulders, narrow at the hip.
And everybody knew the biggest serve in tennis
........belonged to Big John.

Big John
Big John
Big Bad John
Big John

Then came the day he was a set down to a German lad
His serve was carp and his forehand a mess
Backers were praying, and hearts beat fast
and everybody thought they had kissed thier money goodbye
cept' John.
Through the dust of the clay of this man made hell,
walked a giant of a man that his believers knew well.
His serve came back and he got some luck
And after he strolled the next 2 sets and won the match
......he said "thank fcuk"

Big John
Big John
Big Bad John
Big John

(lyrics Dean/Acuff/Rider)
