  • In-running liability

    Hi TG and all,

I've had a bit of a mare today, losing £200 in-running through every fault of my own. I can handle the loss but want to restrict the possibility of it happening again.

Can I limit my liability in The Toy when placing a bet? I've read through a number of posts on the forum but ended up more confused

So for instance, if I want my maximum exposure to be £50 and then in the heat of the moment I lay £10 at 6.2 for a £52 liability, can The Toy restrict the lay the way it does if I only had £50 in my account.

Save for having a pre-race Betfair account and an in-running account, I can't see another way around it. I played around with the Staking & Tools box but I didn't really know what I was doing...

Why don't you just use 50 liability? That way at 6.2 it will only lay/back 9.61. At 2.00 it will lay/back 50. Any less than 2, and just use the 50 stake button.

What he said, but also consider saving an inrunning profile and a pre race profile and just switch between them when the market goes inplay. It is what I do as I use very small stakes inrunning compared to pre race and by having different staking menus on each profile it avoids using the wrong stake in the wrong market type.

Hi Temujin, it doesn't seem to do anything for me? Am I doing it right (see diagram)?

Thanks Leon, I've been using seperate profiles for a while now as I like to see more ladders in-play.
