I'm no expert but I always understood The Toy didn't work with Linux directly

TT will not run on Linux, nor will it run on Linux under Wine as it is a MS .NET based application and Wine does not support such programs.
The only chance is to have Mono installed as you have done. However, my understanding is (and I'm no expert on Mono) that TT would have to be ported to Mono before it would work. This hasn't been done yet and, given Geeks other commitments, I doubt will happen any time soon, if ever. That's a question you would need to ask him though.

It's very time consuming to port the .NET code to Mono. There is a tool from Novell that can do that, it's free for 30 days trial and cost $99 after. I would give TheGeek the money but i can't give him time.
TT runs well under virtualbox/XP under Linux but struggles to use my 26" dual-screen setup. A native Linux app would be much better for me. |
