I'd have thought most laptops you can buy these days would be more than capable of handling the toy or any other trading app. I've always bought Acers and never had any problems, unless it's something you want to travel around with I'd suggest you go for the biggest screen you can get

Got myself a Sony Vaio, 4Gb ram, dual core Intel proc., 18.4" full hd screen, actually a desktopreplacement, but still very portable, displays all the ladders I need or even two browser windows next to eachother when multitasking, for a very decent price, quite pleased with it.
(Only drawback, customer support, like every major comp. these days, what a heap of shite before you are connected with the right dept.)

Before I was quite happy with Dell too, they never failed on me.
