This has to be the biggest mis-price of the tournament. Who on earth would back Italy at 1.31 or 1.35? Italy haven't won a match for months they are in dreadul form. There are question marks about fitness in this side too, I think the effort they put in against Spain has left Italy running on empty.
Recent Irish results against Italy have been good. Italy are not Spain and the Irish will not be in fear of them. I'm expecting a big performance tonight and a strong bounceback. The motivation for Trappatoni to get a result is huge as there has been some disquiet at home. Also the team will be desperate to put a performance in for the fans. I put Italy on about 1.70. If they kick off at 1.40 and take the lead then get stuck in again. Huge value on this one. |

Unfortunately Ireland played the same crap football they have been playing all tournament, Although Trappatoni got us into Euro 2012 i wish we would get rid of him, honestly we barely had a shot on target all tournament, we were total shite.

I think the truth of it was that the other teams were simply too strong. Croatia really impressed and Spain have so much firepower. And Italy is always a tough match.
Shame about the result today but they gave it a good shot. The 1.70 proved to be a fantasy but Italy did drift to 1.45 which was not bad. |

Yeah the group was tough but i just think we gave a really poor showing, we are too one-dimensional. Cant score goals cos all we do is hoof it up the pitch.
I don't think Italy are good enough either. Spain to win imo. |
