Hi Icredd,
Thanks for your reply.Betfair are notoriously slow when it comes to anything involving their customer services
How Far was the Hotel you managed to book from the racecourse?
I have been looking and the nearest I found was about 8 miles or so away.
If Betfair keep taking their time i will prob find one about dble that distance away or more by the time I get everything
I am waiting more in hope now as we are getting very close to the date and still no joy!!
I will phone them again and hopefully get everything sorted out in the next few days
I hope you things arrive in the post tomoz and you have a Fantastic weekend and hopefully I'm at the meeting aswell as it would be nice to get a little bit of my commission back

We are about 2 miles away, but it's only for Saturday night. The weather looks good so it should be a great weekend. Fingers crossed there are no mistakes from Betfair; I imagine giving out prizes isn't a high priority.

It was an amazing weekend. The weather couldn't have been better. The wife and I went into the Betfair lounge on Sunday and had a little champagne, but as I was driving back to Devon I couldn't take full advantage.

The racing was excellent, although I only had one winner, Fattsota on Sunday. We saw the Queen arrive which was surreal to say the least, and I was a bit embarrassed to park our beat-up Ford Galaxy between a stunning Mercedes and an Aston Martin DB9

Overall, it was a weekend I'll never forget and if you've never been to the races then you should definitely try it at least once. I'd love to go again.

= = =

My view of Danedream pipping my wife's choice Nathaniel to the post in the King George. MAGIC!

You didn't wave!

Glad you enjoyed it And how was the BF treatment? Any small reception? Food, drinks? Or did they just leave you wonder about? And the other gentleman? Anyone starring at a laptop screen? Or just big money movers with no disregard in losing a few thousands?

The Betfait lounge was quite small, with 3 waiters and a host who welcomed us in. There was a wall of TV's showing racing, golf, F1 and a few other channels. A load of race cards and Racing Posts lying around. Free drinks and sandwiches. At the back was a PC with the Betfair site on, which one man was hogging. Apparently he had 6 winners on the Sunday but I don't if it was straight betting of trading, or what his stakes were. We were basically left to wonder in and out as we pleased, with a bit of small talk in between. It was a shame I had to drive home after.

Looks like you had a right view for laying in last 60yrd of each race,I used to stand trackside and i were getting beat by groups of lads in the boxs at Ponty,Donny,York,Thirsk and Beverly with views similar to that,£400-£3000 lads or " Slick Rick with his one click 4 tick trick ".....Ahhhh...thats the life one or two close finishes a day

I wish I could have a week camping on the finish line of all tracks at the same time, LOL ... some kind of bilocation or multilocation quantum crap LOL

I would borrow money for that!

What about you Goldman, got lost?! or are you still camping? :P

I watched the first race from the finishing line but you can't see very much. I'd love to trade from the grand stand, but then I'd have no excuse for losing the amount that I do
