Then the API started to play up, was sticking and causing me big problems, this led to a loss because the market never turned in play and my back order had been matched. The final third was more betting than trading, managed a couple of wins from that. Happy enough with the overall result though I wouldnt preferred it to be far less stressful.

Not much to say about yesterday. Was as I'd expect for a day with 4 meetings on.

It could have been much much better had I not made a complete mess of 3 or 4 races towards the end of the UK racing, these were over zelous IR trades.

So how many trades do you take per market/race, particularly UK races?
Anything from 0 to 20. My profits are probably split 70/30 on UK racing with the 70% coming from IR trades. Prerace I'm fairly conserved and cautious.

Oh! I thought you traded mainly pre-race. I must be confusing you with someone else.

You can take 20 1-tick trades in-race? I'd be a nervous wreck after one race.

    Hi Keefter

I'm newbie in this forum and I'm very impressed with your results.I'm sure that this what you are doing, give more motivation to most of us to keep learning and trading.
Your trades are mostly In Play ,are you Backing or Laying first?Dobbing?

    and keep going...

Basically for UK racing its a 70/30 split in favour of IR, for Aus its 99% PR and the US is a mixture of PR trading and outright gambling, you can tell teh difference easy enough by looking at My P&L. US wins over £20 are all gambles rather than trading.

It varies depending on the price and how much money is being matched.

I dont bother with all that Dobbing tbh, I prefer a play it by ear approach for open positions. I back first 99% of the time, I will only lay odds on.

I can sort it out for you. My YouTube account is enabled to take big files, I just need the file. I suggest using http://www.mediafire.com/ - you just drag and drop the file and it will upload automatically. If you then give me the link that they provide, I will have it up in no time.

the file was too big for Mediafire. but I've uploaded to here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/3mskxy

anyone who wants to wait for the download can go ahead, but if Doubleback doesnt mind uploading to his YT I'm sure that will be easier for teh majority

thats not going to happen Chuck I'm afraid, IR is something you nee dto find your own style with. I lose on 3/4 races currently, but win overall in £s. thats not for everyone. and doesnt make that interesting viewing i doubt.

Football. I just cant help myself. I need to become an Unders backer I think. Or an Overs Layer? lol

IR was difficult today. Someone with fast pictures who was about a few weeks ago seems to have returned. They lay weakening horses in £500 chunks (regardless of price), in some cases runners have gone from 10-1 to 100-1+ in literally 5 seconds just because the jockey brandished the whip. At some point they're going to have a horrible day, today they got away with murder. I'm going to continue to take them on for small stakes so at some point expect to see a 4 figure P&L screen print in this thread. Its only a matter of time.

Laying at 10-1 and taking every price up to 100-1? He must have a big account! As you say, it will end in tears one day.

No charts whatsoever. I can't work out why Keefter is going in and out. I guess it's having a good memory for prices.
