Ok, so there is no secret twist I wasn't aware of. Thanks. For your question, I taught someone to do simple scalping with small stakes. He barely went over the limit the first week and would have had to pay over 400$ of charge. That was from trading with a really small stake of 15$ and amounted to more than 2 times his profit. That's pretty nasty.

Temujin, do you know of anyone who has just carried on regardless? I'm a scalper for the most part, especially on OZ markets becuase they tend to move fairly quickly. I don't really understand the TC if I'm honest, had one quick read and it looked like it would be costly so i just resticted myself to 49 races.
I think they have it listed if the meeting is affected or not, but wouldn't have a clue where.
Basically it only counts back bets, but if you are scalping then obviously you will be backing in every market you trade in.

There are 3 states at this stage (that I know of), and that is QLD/VIC/NSW. As it turns out, these are the 3 main racing states.
So basically if you check out before the days play which state each meeting is in, you will know your limitations. Can get reasonable liquidity in WA meetings like Ascot/Belmont, and SA in Morphetville and you can do as many of them as you like. But it will count any back bet, in any other market.

In regards to Melbourne Cup Carnival, I think there will be bulk opportunities in SA for scalping, as obviously all eyes will be on Flemington.

But basically, count all QLD/NSW/VIC markets into your 49, and trade as usual on the others.
You can actually get them to send you a TC spreadsheet weekly, which will come around the same time as PC sheets on a Wednesday, and you can at least see your history to know if you are doing the right thing.

I messed up bigtime by using up my warning week, should have saved it for a big week of racing.

Damn you twice again. I have started trading Horses in-race once more. Not a terrible day tbh. Only 20p liability, though!

    This time next year, Rodders.

As predicted a fairly crappy Sunday. no real liquidity IR and some very very avergae markets all round. managed to profit though. The Dogs between horseraces were rubbish and then i managed to miss the start of one and lose £30+ pounds when i was already -£20. That sort of thing is unhelpful. Still moving in the right direction. Mon/Tues are awful for me usually and so I've made a withdrawal to protect the profit. Tomorrow I stat with £25. I won't make further withdrawals until at least Weds, but more likely it will be next weekend before i take anything else out.

    Proft so far: £231.24

    New Bank: £25!!!

That's awesome mate I'm impressed with how much you can make with just a 10 pound bank. Its really cool to see its possible to do so much with so little.

I'll happily Risk the full bank on a prerace trade if i'm confident, IR with a small bank it tends to be anything between £2 and £20 but never any more than that, though I will on occasion have multiple open trades during a race so it could easily cost a large percent of the bank if it all went wrong. and it does happen. How I trade with a tiny bank and how I trade with £5k bank arent very different in terms of the pound amount of the stakes but differ hugely in terms of % of bank, especially IR as IR markets can only handle stakes up to a certain amount.

people who are trading with small banks and are perhaps newcomers to trading nee dto realise that you can make a decent enough living with a very small initial outlay, it just takes a long time to get to grips with how markets trade.

    Thanks Johnny.

I'm probably going to leave the daily updates until the weekend. Barely broke even today and tomorrow will likely be just as diffilcult, with starting position of £25 theres not much point posting a zero net gain P&L. Things usually pick up for me around Wed/Thurs and my results are largley skewed to the weekend days. Thats £25 will grow though eventually.

Every time he starts a challenge I go through a gamut of emotions, admiration (maybe a little bit of desire), disbelief and then eventually downright jealousy, I think I hate Keefter for the below reasons.

    1 He's doing what I cannot do.

2 He's taking my money while I try to do what I cannot do.

3 He hasn't posted a new video yet.

Anyway, in summary, Keefter you are an inspiration but I bloody hate you!

1 You can definately do what I do, I don't see any reason why you couldnt, you probably just nee dto make a few adjustments to your trading. The smallest tweak can make a significant difference.

2 We can both take other peoples money

3 not sure that scalping IR with £5 stakes makes for a very interesting video, and neither does trading US racing which is an utter grind.

yeah fair enough, perhaps it is. I remember a long time ago when i use dto be the member of a different forum before the days of AGT and 1 guy used to post videos which were clearly hand picked trades. I couldnt bring myself to do that. At the very least you need an hour or two of continious trading footage including when you make £5 a race for 8 races and then lose £50 in the 9th. and I cant be bothered with that if i'm honest lol.

This is true. The vids need to be, preferably, a full session not the
'HOW TO MAKE £50 IN 3 MINUTES ON BETFAIR' type.

    Good going again Keefter.

Trouble is thats also how it can be too.... spend 3 hours taking a few quid a race then spot an opportunity and make £50 in 10 seconds. If you didint see the opportunity then wasnt much point in watching, people also struggle to realise its how it is... not a normal job!

Nice to see its back keefter, brings up some enthusiasm wish i was as effective starting so small as i could do with cashing out my bank right now lol.
