Default Best way to hide my IP address

    Hi,

I'm after some advice as to the best way to hide an IP address?
I've seen some reasonably cheap software that claims to do it I'm not sure whether it is likely to be any good or even if it is needed at all.

If anyone has any knowledge or experience on the matter I'd appreciate some advice.

    Thanks in advance

Are you talking just browsing the internet, or are you talking The Toy?

There are loads of free proxy sites that do this for you.

Here's one. Google "Free proxy" for some more.

Since I believe you are planning to use it with Betfair/Betfair APIs, you need a VPN. It will mask your whole traffic not just web/HTTP.

Avoid free solutions like free proxies/VPN, you need relatively high standards of reliability and security. These are good at best for anonymous web surfing, for sure they aren't trustable to transmit your BF login/password or payments.

    Easy solution: commercial VPN.

Also you need your connection to be very stable, no disconnections, no slowdowns. In the unfortunate case of a VPN disconnection your real IP may be exposed revealing for example that you are pretending to be from one country where you aren't.

Best solution: install a personal VPN on a VPS server.

Personal VPNs aren't so overloaded, very seldom or never you will have a disconnection and slow downs aren't a problem. Also you will have an IP addresses which isn't blacklisted anywhere for sure.

You may get a VPS in any country for a few EURO a month.

VPN as stated is the best solution. Although a newbie to trading, this I know something about. Free solutions will generally let you down, as they are used by every man and his dog. Go the VPN route and you won't be disappointed.

I've been using many VPN services and really the WWW is full of them. I've liked the most the *HIDE-MY-IP* service, they mask your true IP by letting you to choose which IP and from what country you want. With it you can access sites which you usually wouldn't be allowed to and you can remove Netflix restrictions, etc... I hope my advice helped

You can look into PureVPN. They have affordable price along with longer plans as compared to others. While hiding your IP you should disable WebRTC on your browser or it would leak your original IP. Many browsers provide the capability to disable WebRTC. You can download PureVPN extension to disable it along with VPN functionality.
