Thumbs up Recover Betfair debts by christmas

    Hi all,

Starting a challenge to reach net deposits of less than zero by Christmas.
Currently -£5900 through various muggish exploits.
I will trade the horses and dogs as much as i can and the aim is to have a profitable account by Christmas day.

This gives me nearly two months so will have to average around £100 per day.
I am starting with just £125 so to begin with it will be hard to make much more than £40 a day, it will be a slow start but once the bank grows things should get easier.

I will post pandl and some comments on the day in the markets after the days that i trade and hopefully will get my target, maybe more, maybe less but as long as I maintain the right attitude everyday I will be happy.

Look forward to hearing from you guys

Poor start - was caught out by big lay spikes in the dogs and horses. Lots of good trades turned to losses.
should get some momentum going next week.
    Cheers

    Day 2
Mondays are usually a bit of a slog would have been a decent result if I had avoided mistakes.
I got caught in play and lost £30 in one race. Managed to turn over my money many times in a couple of the races.
Consistency needs to improve and that will be my main focus for tomorrow

    Day 3
Terrible start was -£60 after the first 3 races. Stupid really. Got into the groove a bit after the big loss which was caused by over-staking and got caught by a huge lay spike.
Has anyone got any advice how to improve consistency in results?

Didn't have a chance to trade Wednesday but got back on it yesterday, didn't really get anywhere. the last race was a crazy drift from around 2.5 to 5.5 and I caught a good portion of it. Was mainly scalping on the other races.
waccoe, it is anywhere from 20p to £1 per tick.
A few months ago I found it quite easy to make upwards of £50 just trading the evening cards but it seems that there is a lot more manipulation in the daytime and also less money going in at the available prices and when it does it seems to most of the time shift the price a tick rather thank moving slowly.
Here is a video of what I was trying to do yesterday. Any advice/ideas how to improve?

I see what you mean about the screenshots, anyone know how to fix this?

Once again one silly error proved costly.
If I can limit the downside of my trades better then I will start to see success again
Markets were really nice today, now off to watch the football

    think i've worked this out...

use the insert image button.. browse to your saved screenshot image onyour local machine and upload it..this will then show as a small version in your post but when someone clicks on the image it should show in its full size glory

    Red face Tuesday

Getting somewhere now that the bank is more usable. Nice strike rate today and a good runs of profit in a few races in a row

Seemed to be lots of big lay money about today. Always the markets seem different everyday and in day to evening. I guessing its different players at different times.
Is it just me or has the cross-matching become smoother? anyone got any thoughts on this?
    Cheers

    Lightbulb Cheltenham

The markets were so nice today. Smooth but without too many huge stakes sitting around which can be a problem in the better quality racing, especially if, like me your bank is small.
    Here's the result

I withdrew back down to £360 before today so am very happy with the result.
I didn't lose on any of the Cheltenham races which is encouraging. Hoping to get over the 200 mark tomorrow which should be achievable with the amount of races and I wont withdraw tonight so I have more to play with.
Here is a nice chart for scalpers from one of the better races today -

And this one cost me £20 at Lingfield an £8k spike from 4.6 and was above 5 before I could get out. Sure enough it ended up coming back but its not worth hanging onto for the times that it doesn't

In the past 100 races my average is +£5 per race which just needs to increase a little to around £7-8 and I should reach my target.

    Good luck everyone for tommorow

Looks like you are beginning to find your momentum now. Keeping up the momentum is the difficult part but it seems like you are heading in the correct direction. Great work.
