The ones made by Betfair are only available on the UK Itunes Store and cannot be downloaded from Spain. Seems like a stupid policy for a free app.

Hmmm... You may be able to download iBetMate from Spain but I can't download it from Canada.

I emailed the ever helpful "Betfair Support Team" and asked them what possible reason they could have for restricting the use of their APP to the UK. They dutifully replied with the well thought out and carefully detailed argument that: "...it is not available in your country". :Brilliant

You are right The Joker, but I don't want to break it, its an expensive toy to play with... Ibetmate will cover the emergency, and the Ipad has other main uses

This is one of the annoying sides of the Apple world, country segmentation:

- Whats the purpose of non releasing Betfair for Ipad other than UK? Betfair should be happy to have as many apps installed as possible, so that they can get bussiness and betting when one is conmuting or doing a visit to the familiy without laptop... or with a laptop breakdown...
- Godot example is another good one

Apple world has some marvellous features but has some annoying ones for sure
