Just trading tonight when I had one of those awful moments when the screen froze and was getting no updates. Initially cursed Betfair then realised it was my internet connection. It was the first time in over a year it has gone down. Luckily I was able to login to my Betfair account using my iphone and close my trades with about 20 secs to spare before the off. :Woohoo
Quite lucky really I didn't fancy a £200 lay on a fav going in-play
Now I know most of you know this but definately worth having a back-up connection if your internet goes down.
Unfortunately I have no solution if Betfair crashes

Can you not open a Betdaq account and throw a few hundred in just for emergencies? :D
I have an account and recieved the free £25 bet on opening, and used it mainly for my "matched betting" activities (until they recently stopped the reduced commission rates :( )now i keep £1000 in there in case Betfair ever crashes.

the problem with getting out on betfair is if it go's down its hard to know exactly what your position is.

Yes that is the problem when Betfair goes down, no idea what your position is and you watch the race not knowing which horse to cheer:confused:
