I think he was trying to tell people to stay in the Under 2.5 market and to jump out when Man Utd scored the first goal. He correctly assumed that Man Utd would score the first goal. He would have made a small profit.
I jumped out with a small loss after the second goal, placed a tiny stake on 3 - 0 and ended up winning 53 p. :D

We have decided to permanently close the blog. We believe in the saying 'anything worth doing is worth doing well' and producing a good blog was taking too much of our time. We already work very long hours and devoting another hour to the blog instead of our family every day is no longer acceptable.
We were averaging 1K a day this month so we believe the challenge target was attainable with minor improvement but we will now continue it privately.
The only reason we started both challenges was to provide inspiration to others and show that it can be done. We never intended to sell anything from the start and it was purely for our enjoyment although a lot of people find this extremely difficult to believe.
You can continue to write to psychoffblog@hotmail.com but you may not receive a reply. We thoroughly enjoyed the process and meeting you all and we learned a lot from it. We are happy if even a few traders remember what they have seen here.

Did the Man Utd v Burnley recommendation go wrong on Saturday?
Must admit I didn;t understand what they were recommending, however, at FT they seemed to be congratulating themsleves on winning. I didn't see the P&L posted that evening!
Why bother going to the pains of setting up a new challenge and a recommendation service and that stopping almost immediately.
Cran, it doesn't take an hour to post P&L on the blog but it may take that long to put together an image of what you want people to see.
Really wanted these to be the real deal but suspicions have been rising for a couple of months now.

Really wanted these to be the real deal but suspicions have been rising for a couple of months now.
I am happy to learn from other people and listen to their views and their experience. I am, however, an incredibly stubborn person and would hate to follow other's recommendations all the time even if they were winning ones. Ultimately, I want to win or lose my own money and don't want to be a client of any "Mickey Mouse" tipping service.
I am almost a full time trader now but I am not making much money. I don't need to as I have other sources of income. It's great fun and if I end up becoming really good at it then that will be fine by me. Until then, I will not be taken for a mug by others who are in my view just con-men. I am an educated and intelligent person. This may sound conceited but it's true. Some of the recommendations made by the so-called tipsters are absolutely ludicrous.
Some people have paid contributions to a tipping service. Few will have the guts to come clean and say that they have wasted their money and they will persevere until their subscriptions are approaching the end.
Obviously, there are really experienced guys out there who are good at trading and make lots of money. We are lucky that some are kind enough to share their thoughts with us here. The show-offs are mostly telling porkies, I think.
The Man Utd v Burnley, recommendations of this lot, last Saturday, would have yielded a small profit.

I noticed a few of their recommendations went awry. One was to lay under 1.5 in the Blackburn v Aston Villa game. The match ended 0-1. Can't remember the others.
Like most others I find it hard to clearly decipher what was recommended for the Man U v Burnley game, but as they were said to be from overseas and English isn't their first language you can understand some things being lost in translation.
It would appear everything was going well until they started making these recommendations. Did they get a few wrong and take it to heart? Also, they maintained the blog regularly for many months so why are they only getting grief from the other half now? Still, good enough for Mrs Psychoff. It sounds like he was spending far too much time on that bl**dy computer trading without doing a blog aswell.

Women can be very awkward. My wife gets very crotchety if I watch soccer for eight hours on a Sunday. I once watched Dutch , English, Italian and Spanish football for a total of eleven hours. I can understand that this might be excessive but, surely, eight is just about right ?
They can be very awkward, these women, very selfish, if you ask me.

The older posts in their blog were great becuase the showed more of their results and P&L and you could figure out what they were doing by checking how often and when there was scored in those games.
They stopped that and then it became a boring blog and I also don't see how posting a simple brag could cost you an hour.
Tipping service would've never worked for them as they trade live and look very much at the odds vs what's going on. They've stated many a time that if they can't see a match they don't bet on it. Also they take some pretty heavy hits every now and again, which is part of at least some of their strategies, and would not sit very well with someone who pays for one match of tips and then sees his money disappear.
I still like to believe they were for real as we need people who make lots just to give us something to work towards:p
But with the tipping service and all I'm starting to doubt it a bit.
I think the only service people like this can offer that's worth something is to trade live with a stream to their desktop and them just thinking out loud. That way you can watch the match and at the same time see what they are doing whilst they are sharing their thoughts.
Now that would be something I might consider paying for if the person is actually good at what he does.
p.s. Nigel I'm not following you around! Honest! I just happen to post under you all the bloody time today.

I think with tradeshark you view his screen while he trades and explains what he's doing. Not had a sesh with him myself yet but I prolly will do when I think about going into the tennis more. Thats when I find time for it!
I understand Jack Birkhead also does this with the Horses, Though I dont know if you watch his screen or go to the same market and he explains what he is doing, thinking etc.

You get one set for free, and it's £10 for a whole match.
I'm due to book my first set soon and see how it goes from there.
Even if you go for a whole match, £10 isn't really going to knock anyone back. I could even pay for it with my measily racing profits acquired with minimal stakes!
Not really a loss assuming it's really poor, however on the other hand if we are to assume that, we should also assume that it could be really useful, and in that case be a bargain.
I'll let you all know how it goes if I ever get round to doing this 1st set!

I just thought if someone is trading anyway and not doing it especially to show people then I just presumed it would be free. I mean if someone trades and makes for arguements sake £600 during an event then it seems a little greedy to ask people who are less experienced to pay say £5 for the privelege of watching them do it.
I guess some people may look at it and say you are paying for the expertise and knowledge which is fair enough.

I think, everybody paying such services must understand every tennis market is different, you have to read tennis match...it's NOT like watching graphs and they tell you now it's time to place your bet...
WTA or ATP are different...very much different....but sure...if you want to pay its up to you.
You can get so much for free, The Toy is free but i bet some ppl still think...I am NOT using TT, its a free software so it can not be as good as my "xxxxx PRO" which I paid, let say...£29/month

I agree totally, it is people looking for a get rich quick scheme without putting the hours of work in for themselves I have seen systems out there that advocate betting a player at certain odds with an exit point and a profit point:eek: Imagine paying for that, its the basics of trading and if you need to be told that then trading might not be for that said person.
I have nothing against anyone offering services whoever they are , just personally for me I think a better education is trading markets with small stakes and learning that way, but each to their own.

1) Take advantage of the free trial
2) Once that is finished write them some begging letters
3) If that don't work start threatening them with some heavies
4) If that don't work tell em your gonna send Anne Robinson round for the evening

I'm considering going on MSN with my webcam and broadcasting pictures of me sitting in my chair watching the football.
If an early goal is scored in Porto v Arsenal game you will have exclusive access to me clicking on the hedge button of Geek's Toy. The first fifteen minutes prior to kick off will be free and each additional fifteen minutes will be charged at £ 5 per section. For a one-off payment of only £ 3, I will broadcast pictures of my cocker spaniel playing with our new puppy at halftime.

I regret that this is not possible for contractual reasons. To be perfectly honest, the puppy knows nothing at all about trading and appears only to engender a feeling of "niceness". The brains of the outfit is my cocker spaniel, Ben, who is currently engaged on writing his first e-book on trading which will be available just in time for the Cheltenham Festival.

It was a poor blog anyway, the figures were impressive but they were using big money to get them.
I was reading it last Summer and someone asked the question how they made so much money on the correct score market (a quick look at the result showed a late goal in injury time, laying the correct score in injury time was one of their trades they used often) yet instead of saying what they did they went on to say something along the lines of for you to understand then you would need to understand the psychology behind the trade and all that bollocks.
Not at all helpful.
