Yesterday I found this 3-months old documentary about sports betting, which is good enough to take a peek.

With unprecedented access behind the scenes at LVH's "SuperBook" and featuring a cast of legends from the Las Vegas sport-betting world, including long-time Hilton/LVH oddsmaker Jay Kornegay, two-time Supercontest champion Steve Fezzik, hedge-fund manager John Netto, long-time Vegas pro-bettors including Erin Rynning, Teddy Covers, Bryan Leonard, Bruce Marshall, and Alf Musketa, and well-known local sports talk radio hosts Brian Blessing and Ken Thompson, Life on the Line promises to take viewers deep inside the esoteric and usually closed world of that rare breed of gambler who's able to make a successful living betting sports.

The documentary isn't free though. Its 55 minutes cost me $4.97 (or around 3.5) to watch it.
Here's the link which also has 3 trailers: http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/life_on_the_line.cfm

Cheers

I think the best movie ever about betting psychology is Two for the money!
Too many things to learn from that one!

I saw the film, very good film, but i wish to have the documentary in italian or at least with subtitles.

A question of curiosity for the english people: do you understand, without any problem, this kind of strict spoken american?

Hard Eight (http://viooz.co/movies/3997-hard-eight-1996.html)

John has lost all his money. He sits outside a diner in the desert when Sydney happens along, buys him coffee, then takes him to Reno and shows him how to get a free room without losing much money. Under Sydney's fatherly tutelage, John becomes a successful small-time professional gambler, and all is well, until he falls for Clementine, a cocktail waitress and sometimes hooker. Written by Jon Reeves.

Sydney is a veteran gambler in his sixties who still spends his time at the casinos. When he meets John, a loser with no money at all, he sees him as a son and tries to help him. He takes care of him and teaches him all the tricks of his work. He also helps him to make a relationship with Clementine, a young girl who works at the casino as a waitress. John doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that Clementine is also a hooker, but soon something happens that turns their lives upside down.

That's a great piece. The reporter is a bit strange, but somehow he creates empathy.
